Salvation:
We believe that even though men and women cannot receive salvation by good works, their good works are evidence of true faith in God and Jesus as Lord and are thus pleasing to God. Salvation is a free gift bestowed by God's grace, received by faith, and secured by Christ alone.
(Ephesians 2:8-10, John 10:27-20, Matthew 5:16, Matthew 7:16-20)
Baptism:
We believe immersion in water of a professed believer is a Bible baptism. Such baptism is symbolic of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.
(Romans 6:1-4)
Discipleship:
Simply put we believe discipleship is important because that is the model that Jesus gave us to follow.
Matthew 4:19 “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
A disciple is one who is committed to: following Jesus, being changed by Jesus, being on mission with Jesus.
The Church:
We believe the purpose of the church on earth is to fulfill the last command of Jesus Christ – "Then Jesus came to them and said ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’" We believe the local church is governed by godly men known as elders or bishops and is the bride and body of Christ.
(Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 5:25-33,1 Corinthians 12, Titus 1:5)
